South Country Peace Group's

26th Annual Peace Vigil

A community dedication to peace on the 63rd anniversary of the nuclear destruction of Hiroshima.

Gather at 6:45 PM on the sidewalk adjacent to Woodland Cemetery on Station Road in Bellport.  You may wish to wear white, the Japanese color of mourning.

Candlelight procession to Bellport Bay begins at 7:00 PM.

Outdoor program at Bellport Bay will begin by 7:30 PM.

This year's program will include local singer activist Catherine Synan Greene, a discussion of the current state of nuclear weapons by VFP member Mac Bica, and poetry by SCPG members Susan McKeon Steinmann & Diane Atkinson.  For additional information, contact Dennis at dmu7@optonline.net
