Our Services

UUFB has both minister- and lay-led services which cover a wide range of diverse topics. You can see a list of past services in our Sunday Services section.

When you enter the Fellowship Hall, please note the Order of Services on the seats. Hymnals, if used that day, will also be on the seats.

Sharing of Joys, Sorrows, and Concerns. During the Service, we have a ritual of Sharing Joys, Sorrows, and Concerns. Everyone is invited to come to the front, if you desire, and drop a stone into the water for a joy, sorrow, or concern. You may take the mic and share with the Congregation your personal joy or concern, or your stone drop may be silent if you wish. At the end, a stone is always dropped for the joys and concerns you decide to keep quiet in your heart if you do not wish to come forward.

Music varies for each service, from live piano or guitar, to recorded music, as well as Congregational singing.

Services usually last between 45 minutes and 1 hour. Sharing Circle services, which are held a few times a year, have been known to go longer, but we try to keep them within 1 hour and 15 minutes. During Sharing Circle services, you are welcome to share your thoughts on the topic of the day, or simply listen.

After Service has concluded, please join us during the Social Hour.
